The Box, by Bruce Coville This is how the story begins: “Once there was a boy who had a box. The boy’s name was Michael, and the box was very special because it had been given to him by an angel.” As it turns out, the box is not only a gift, but an obligation, and Michael’s attempts to be faithful to his promise to care for the box will affect the course of his life. Copyright is held by Bruce Coville. Included with permission.

Bruce Coville has published over 100 books for children and young adults, including the international bestseller My Teacher is an Alien, and the wildly popular Unicorn Chronicles series. His works have appeared in over a dozen languages. He has also been, at various times, a teacher, a toymaker, a magazine editor, a gravedigger, and a cookware salesman. Jen founded A Book and a Latte in May of 2011 as a way to share her passion for books and to fangirl with other readers. A former Aerospace Engineer, she’s now a Literary Publicist and recent graduate of the Denver Publishing Institute. Jen happily lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, and pupdog named Koda. When she’s not working with amazing authors she can be found with her nose in a book or in front of a screen, or playing in the mountains that she feels lucky to have in her backyard.
